Year-End Message from the Chairman

Dear Member and Friend of the Museum,

We have wonderful Christmas news! The Museum of Hounds and Hunting North America is expanding to the charming Town of Middleburg, Virginia with an anticipated Grand Opening in early 2024. We are thrilled to have found a prominent locale, the circa 1820 historic building, at 11 West Washington Street. In earlier days, the building was occupied by the National Sporting Library, and then Barton’s Art Gallery. We will continue to maintain our well-established presence at the Morven Park Mansion since 1985. The Middleburg and Leesburg galleries expand our reach and offer enhanced benefits to our membership.

For the past 38 years, we have been passionate about curating exhibitions that celebrate the artistry behind hound breeds and hunting techniques exemplifying the influence foxhunting has had on American culture. Showcasing unique foxhunting art and artifacts, some not previously on display, is our contribution to the collective equestrian culture.

Advocating for open space as part of our educational programs fosters appreciation for hounds and hunting and is an emerging opportunity to explain the value of preserving the bucolic countryside.

In the spirit of Christmas giving, please consider our beloved institution as part of your year-end charitable giving. A tax-deductible donation can be made by check and mailed to the Museum of Hounds and Hunting North America, P.O. Box 1122, Middleburg, VA 20118. Donating though our website at www.mhhna.org/donate is another option.

Thank you once again for being a valued Member and Friend of the Museum of Hounds and Hunting North America. As we send our joyful wishes for the Christmas holiday, we look forward to welcoming you at both museums in the near future.

With appreciation,

Nancy G. Bedford
