The visual excitement of foxhunting comes from the movement of horses and hounds in and out of the light and shadows of trees and hills, and from a mixture of fast action over timber and leisurely hacks through meadows. It is a fascinating subject to paint, and it is an honor to represent the community that practices and preserves the sport and the countryside.
